DESCRIPTION:The message below is from the Kentucky Poor People’s Campaign.  The national Poor People’s Campaign has made single payer health care a part of their agenda.  We urge you to join Rev. Barber on:Monday\, June 4\, 2018\,at 2:00 pm on the Capitol Steps\, Frankfort. Those who wish to join the direct action can sign up for the 11 am training below or here. \nKay Tillow\, Chair\, Kentuckians for Single Payer Health Care\, www.kyhealthcare.org \n______________________________________________________________________________________________\nAfter another week of speaking out\, lifting up what matters most in our commonwealth\, and different creative nonviolent direct actions\, we are excited and honored to announce that Poor People’s Campaign National Co-Chair Rev. Dr. William Barber will be joining us in Frankfort next Monday June 4th! \n Photo Credit- Alliancesd.org \nWe are thrilled to welcome Rev. Barber to Kentucky and we know we will show up strong to lift up the theme of week 4\, THE RIGHT TO HEALTH AND A HEALTHY PLANET: Ecological Devastation and Health Care \nThe Speak OUT is at 2 pm on the Capitol steps. All are welcome to the Speak OUT! Rev. Barber will speak as well as Kentuckians from across the state. You do not need to participate in the direct action to attend the Speak OUT. \nFor those also interested in participating in the nonviolent direct action\, we ask that you attend a training at 11 am and registration for the training is required. Coming together across issues and geography to put our bodies on the line for the issues affecting us all helps break through lies and deceits and shift the moral narrative. \nIt will be an historic occasion to participate in direct action with Rev. Barber. \nWe know it will be a week to remember\, led by Tayna Fogle\, Kentucky Poor People’s Campaign Tri-Chair and Organizing Apprentice for Kentuckians for the Commonwealth. KY Poor People’s Campaign is pleased to partner with Kentuckians for the Commonwealth for the June 4th activities. \nWe look forward to hearing powerful artists and moral witnesses speak their truths- our truths! Our schedule will be the same\, as we show our strength as a MORAL FUSION MOVEMENT. \n11 am Nonviolent Moral Fusion Direct Action Training * \n2 pm    Speak OUT – Capitol Steps (for everyone) \n3 pm    Direct Action \n  \n*Registration is required for the Nonviolent Moral Fusion Direct Action Training. \nThis training is for people who plan to participate in the direct action or provide a specific support role. If you have previously trained with the KY PPC\, you can come at 12:30. Registration is still required.
